About Us

Premier Academic Services (PAS) was founded in 2014. GMCFA, a sports education specializing arm of our business, was also established in the same year. PAS was renamed as Premier International College (PIC) to signify our transition to a qualification course provider.

  • 10/2015

PAS’s first project was applying to the British Council for the UK-China Innovation Challenge Fund, with the support of Manchester College, for the delivery of sports education to student athletes in China.

  • 2014 – 2015

We also started providing university application consultancy services to Excel London College in Hong Kong. With the successful collaboration project, we went on to start offering education admission consultancy, private tutoring and exam services in Hong Kong.

  • 2016 – 2019

We branched out to China and entered partnership with UDC Education in Shenzhen and Asia Pacific Institute of Management China in Nanjing, starting to advise mainland Chinese students on international education opportunities.

  • 2016 – 2019

GMCFA, with our experience in sports education and close working relationships with the international school scene, was invited to provide football training and organize sports activities for various international schools in Hong Kong and China. We also extended our sports education services to providing football classes and football camps both in Hong Kong and the UK.

  • 2018

PAS formed partnership with even more education consultancy agencies in China, such as Amber Education, and further expanded our reach in the China market.

  • 2020 – 2021

Seeing a growing demand for high-quality qualification courses that lead to clear academic pathways, in 2020, we seized the opportunity of increased prevalence of online learning and started to co-organise our mixed-mode IGCSE, A Level and University Foundation courses with the Liverpool School of English. Our Foundation programme also successfully received official recognition from Keele University and Harper Adams University, allowing our students to articulate to the universities only through internal assessments. We have since been preparing for delivering our programmes face-to-face in the UK, with the first cohort arriving in autumn 2021. Meanwhile, to consolidate our presence in China, our subsidiary company was founded in Shenzhen and a number of projects to deliver qualification programmes in high schools and universities in China are underway.

Director

May Wong MA, Msc

Having diverse experiences in commercialising sports projects and in developing sports education programmes in the tertiary sector in Hong Kong, May saw a market gap in 2014 and founded MWM Management. MWM became the first private sports entity to provide UK football coaching and qualifications specifically for the Chinese market and started developing sports programmes for the Hong Kong international school sector. Simultaneously, May became also involved in the business development of the Revolution Cycling Series and International Keirin events in the UK.

May led MWM to new heights and established the education arm of the business, Premier Academic Services (PAS) in 2015. Its team of teachers and coaches strengthened its collaboration with Hong Kong international schools and expanded to partnering with UK independent schools in sports programme provision and student recruitment. In the same year, leveraging her local and UK connections, May and her team started developing the business of student admission services, also for the tertiary education sector.

In addition to education services, May’s interest and involvement in financial technology started as MWM partnered with Stratagem Technologies in 2017, a UK financial technology platform designed to offer research, analysis, trading and tools for the sports betting market. The platform provides MWM’s partners and clients in Hong Kong and China with a reliable channel to build risk-managed investment portfolios and enabled analytical and data-driven sports betting traders to take advantage of mathematical algorithms to evaluate the performance and risk of sports betting strategies.

In 2019, May started collaborating with Zumo, a revolutionary UK-based blockchain-powered payment platform, to develop its business in the Great China region. May is a firm believer not only in the many opportunities algorithm-driven financial strategies and crypto money bring, but also in the importance of preparing the future generation for the financial technology age with high-quality education.
